Introducing: DARA MASCARA

For quite some time, now, I've been searching for a make up artist to team up with for my photoshoots.
As my best friend, celebrity make up artist extraordinaire, Jessica Hoffman refused my tempting offer to leave paradise and move into my bedroom closet to be that person, I had to look elsewhere.
Thank goodness, I was blessed to find none other than Dara Klein, of Dara Mascara. Though she has held prestigious positions for Stila and Lancome, regularly traveling to Paris and other fashion capitals, she gratiously agreed to meet me recently. I discovered her after she had done the makeup of two of my previous clients and I was thrilled by her work. I was even more thrilled to find that she is a gem of a person who truly uplifts and brings joy to everyone she meets! I feel so lucky to be able to work with her now!
And she brings another little gem into the world this fall!

Just Because: Seneca and Dana

A few months ago, Seneca email me on Facebook after seeing shots I had done for Tamara Duricka on her 31Dates in 31 Days project. She and her friend Dana decided that they'd love to have shots of them taken here in New York. . . for their moms ;) They are both originally from the west coast, and are in New York 4 days a week installing new high tech computer systems for Columbia University. They have more frequent flyer miles than anyone I've ever met! Even with all that travel, they manage to stay stunning and incredibly fun! And such naturals in front of the camera. We shot near in and around thier Times Square hotel. Their makeup was done by the incredible Dara Klein of DaraMascara.com. And I was grateful to have my new assistant Emily there to help out!
